The Latina Leadership Series – Help Needed!

in Event
We are seeking volunteers to deliver a 4 week program developed by Girl Scouts. All training, materials and resources will be provided.

The Latina Leadership Series is an exciting new opportunity for girls in grades 6-8! The programs provide girls the opportunity to discover their world, connect in partnership with others, and take action to make an impact on their community.

Programs

Breathe Series: Girls engage all five senses as they clean the air – their own and the Earth’s. Girls also learn how to assess air quality inside and out, and get an aerial view of everything from cigarette smoking to noise in the air to deforestation.

When: Thursdays, January 12-Feb 2
                5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (approx)
Where: Boys & Girls Club Compadre Branch
                300 E. Chandler Blvd.
                Chandler, AZ 85255

Media Series: Girls develop a strong sense of self as they learn about the media and identify ways to express themselves. Girls also explore how to develop healthy relationships, work in partnership with others, and promote wellbeing and confidence.

When: Mondays, January 9-Feb 6
                3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Where: Barcelona Middle School
               6530 N 44th Ave
